Simon and Lisa Thomas are the creative force behind 2ridetheworld, Living Lens Photography, and Nomad Graphics. They’ve spent 17 years riding motorcycles exploring 82 countries, clocking over half a million miles while capturing extraordinary moments of life, culture, and adventure.

The Person
Lisa had been described as a 'force of nature', from her early years as a professional musician and natural physique body builder and Olympic weight lifter to her return to university where she earned her first class honours degree in Computer and information system Lisa leads by example.
The
Around-The-World Record BreakerLisa is the world's foremost female adventure rider having ridden farther than anyone female in history. Lisa has ridden and navigated an incredible 507,000 miles (816,000 KM's) through some of the most rugged and remote regions on earth. Along the way she has authored her first book and published articles around the world.
The Chef and Writer
Dirty Dining - An Adventurers Cookbook features 26 recipes representing locales worldwide, across more than 150 beautifully photographed (by Simon, of course) pages. Lisa’s saucy sense of humor comes through in short vignettes setting the dishes within a specific place and experience. For instance, Lisa and Simon enjoyed the Orange Pork while staring “spellbound at the star-studded night sky,” after a 2,500-kilometer traverse of the Australian Outback.
The volume is almost more a storybook with recipes than a cookbook with stories, making it fun just to sit down and read for pleasure.

Lisa is an internationally acclaimed professional travel photographer and skilled educator who has spent 20-years shooting some of the most beautiful locations in the world.
In a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication, February 2025 marked a significant milestone in her career. Lisa was honored with an invitation to exhibit her work at the prestigious XPOSURE International Photography Festival in the UAE. This recognition on a global stage was further amplified by the presentation of the "Recognition of International Photographic Excellence Award" by His Highness Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, a moment that underscores Lisa's standing amongst the world's leading photographers. This prestigious award is a reflection of her unwavering dedication to his craft and her ability to capture the beauty of the world around us.

The Person
Businessman turned adventure-rider Simon Thomas is a self-confessed thrill seeker.
Simon’s UK career started in the early 90s working for a marketing company. An ambitious employee, his career soon took off, and weeks after joining a specialist sales force, he became the company’s highest-earning employee.
But, Simon’s career abruptly ended after a severe motorcycle accident almost severed his lower right leg. But after five surgeries and 18 months of rehabilitation, Simon was ready for his next ‘big challenge…learning to walk again!
The Around-The-World Record Breaker
Combining his passion for adventure, motorcycling and travel, he and his wife Lisa, planned an unprecedented global motorcycle adventure encompassing 122 countries and 7 continents. After Seventeen years on the road, Simon’s optimistic personality and motivational talks are winning him friends and corporate contacts worldwide.
And whilst he and Lisa are accredited with helping to define ‘Adventure Motorcycling’ Simon remains genuinely bemused by the accolades.
